Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. She was raised by her mother and her father, in USA. Raised with racial insults, she was being made to feel unwelcome. It was in her ninth grade that she gained confidence after receiving a rousing ovation during an audition. The experience not only helped her gain confidence but changed her goals in life. In the year 22 she graduated in the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut in the film You've got Mail were both major breakthroughs. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot she portrayed the role of Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as critical praise. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater fame. Apart from being a popular singer, she released a solo and an extended piece. In addition, she's an activist and works extensively for LGBT rights.
