Zoe-perry
Perry is the son and the son of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry, a director. She made her first appearances in television shows as Jackie Harris, a character who was played by her mom in Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. However, her parents did not want her to play an acting career until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry admitted she was nervous to be an actor during high school, but started playing in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to make friends after transferring from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry relocated into New York to search for television work landing small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought her back to California and she was able to find theater work. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway together with her mom. She also appeared alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, she performed a role as a support in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal that starred her father. The same year she was cast as a younger counterpart to Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again acting as a younger version her mother's role. It was her first part despite having a close familial connection to the character.
